Wonderwall

Rather than focusing on a single artist, 'Wonderwall' offers a wider view of the Bisou collection, and in many ways, it reflects the eye of the curator more than the artists themselves. The show explores how artworks can take on new meanings when placed in different contexts. What begins in one artist’s studio might eventually live in a collector’s home, alongside entirely different works, forming unexpected connections and narratives.

That idea of artworks taking on new lives, creating dialogue across time, geography, and style is central to 'Wonderwall'. It’s about rethinking how we see art and encouraging visitors to imagine how they might build their own story with pieces from the Bisou collection.

"I try to create another context for the selected artworks and look for visual or contextual similarities in the works of all those different artists. This will eventually also happen when someone buys an artwork and hangs it in their house, where it will be in a different interior, probably alongside other pieces.

People might find it challenging to visualize how a certain piece will fit in their home, so showing the works I love in this way, allows me to create my own story and will hopefully inspire others to do the same."
